Saturday is work day!!!

Oh my word. Today we worked all day outside taking care of the tree that fell down. Jerry cut the limbs up I hauled them to the burn pile. That tree didn't look so big when it was standing up. At one point Jerry tripped and fell flat on his face. In the process he tried to catch himself. Unfortunately with his bad (left) arm. A few pain pills later and he was as good as new.

I decided that I didn't like dumping the dogs food on the ground so I put 2 coffee cans down for them. The problem was they took off with the cans and played with them so next time we went to feed them the cans were at the other end of the yard. I thought I would hang them over the fence with a couple of zip strips and then they could eat out of them. I had to make sure they cleared the electric wire so the dogs wouldn't get shocked. I did and the dogs wouldn't eat out of them because they were afraid of the wire. Zoe finally decided to try and all was well. I was out working at the burn pile and heard alot of yelping. I can only assume one of them hit the wire. Now I have to figure out a better way. Poor dogs.

I love Fridays!

Jerry works from home on Friday so we get to spend the day together. He works in his office but its nice to have him home. We have been downloading all of our photos onto my computer and its so nice to look back at some of the events in our lives. Some of the things we have forgotten about and they are such pleasant memories. I have been catigorizing the pictures and making folders and posting some of the pics on facebook. Its a blast even if its alittle boring.

Jerry had another doctor visit today. He released him for physical therapy. He is so excited. Now he gets to go 3 times a week and have his arm and shoulder manipulated. I know he will be in a lot of pain so I keep praying that God will just make it easy for him.

Another Root Canal

Poor Jerry had to have another root canal today. That is the 2nd in 2 weeks. He has really been through the wringer this last year. He had cancer surgery on his wrist, broke his collar bone, had knee surgery, had surgery on his collar bone, had a virus in his inner ear causing him to have dizziness, 2 root canals and a crown. Not only has he had a great spirit about all of this but he also keeps trying to do things around the house and garage. Pretty soon I can call him the 6 Billion Dollar Man (for my kids this is a reference to an old TVshow).

My daughter has made her own blog and it is really great. You can check it out at:

I have added Pacman to the bottom of the page. I am surprised Jessica wasn't born playing Pacman. I spent so many hours playing when I was pregnant with her.

Cassie is always calling me and asking me for recipes so I added a recipe search engine to my blog. Hope you enjoy it.

I am so excited about 2009. So far we have had a great year. Jerry is recuperating from his collar bone surgery nicely. He goes to the doctor this week and hopefully will be released to start physical therapy.
We have been teaching Children's Church and loving it. It is really fun to have only 15 or so kids to work with. They are all really good kids.
We are going to go visit our kids in March and then when we get back we will put our house on the market. Hopefully God will let it sell soon.

Jan. 8, 2009

Well today I took my new car in to get the oil changed. A 1/2 hour project that took all day because the only place they could get the filter was from Kia. The poor mechanic had to drive all the way to Milwaukie to get it. It wasn't really a problem for me because they gave me a ride home.

I Love Sunday's

Today was the first Sunday in 2009. We had a great time teaching Children's Church. We taught a lesson on Noah's Ark and made rainbows and arks. After church we stopped by TownCenter and got my old wedding ring rounded and polished. Tomorrow we start our new diet and exercise plan. I am actually very excited about it. I will keep you filled in on how it goes.
