CHRISTMAS DAY

What does Christmas mean to you?  It used to mean getting up at the crack of dawn and watch two little girls tear through their presents, then loading everyone up to go to Grammy and Papa's house.  Now it means something different.  Josh and Jessica spend Christmas with Josh's family.  They drive up on Christmas eve and come home usually Christmas night late. Cassie and Gary spend Christmas with Gary's parents.  Jerry and I spend Christmas with each other.  This year it has been spent putting in a tile floor and kitchen cabinets.  It will be so nice to be able to cook real meals and wash dishes in my own sink with my own dishwasher.  I  am making chili in the crock pot but it just isn't the same as having a kitchen.  Gary and Cassie came by to say Hi.  Maybe next year we can sit in the living room and talk.  This year we stood in the dining room and talked.

Please don't think I'm complaining.  I am so very thankful for everything God has given us. A new granddaughter, a new home, new jobs, new friends, and a wonderful new church family.  We are so grateful and happy.  We feel so  fulfilled. We so love teaching our Jr. Church and we love our Preacher and his family. We have learned so much about faith and prayers and needs.  God has taught us so many lessons this year I can't even begin to list them.

God has given us such a wonderful amazing gift.  When we die we know we will go to heaven and all because on this day over 2000 years ago a baby was born in Bethlehem. Thank-you God for your sacrifice.

Merry Christmas to all of you.  Stay safe.
